Send from Outlook
- 1
Start a new message in Outlook and open the Send It Secure or Protected Trust add-in assigned by your organization.
- 2
Sign in if prompted, then compose the secure message in the add-in or follow the available Protect or Send Secure option.
- 3
Verify every recipient before adding sensitive text or attachments. Use only the minimum information needed.
- 4
Choose the recipient verification method or message options allowed by your organization, then send.
- 5
Confirm the protected message appears in the appropriate sent-message view. Do not assume typing words such as secure or encrypt in the subject protects a message unless Kenmie has confirmed that workflow.
Do not send passwords or multifactor codes, even inside an encrypted message. Contact Kenmie if you are unsure whether the message is protected before sending sensitive data.
If the add-in is missing
Check Outlook’s Apps or add-ins menu. If the Send It Secure control is disabled, missing, or will not sign in, contact Kenmie rather than sending the information through ordinary email.
For complete product documentation, see the Protected Trust Outlook compose reference .
